Thinking about the transitive qualities of energy, I wanted my work to go through reactive processes and demonstrate entropy by making states of order degrade into chaos. However, I also wanted to approach a ‘total art’ where process and object are tools to facilitate the work through its different transitive states. I began with making 50 line process drawings with the intention of burning them. I then proceeded to make an apparatus to create the chemical change and vessels to then hold the remains.
